Biggest Loser Lettuce Wraps
Ground Beef Lettuce Wraps
1 lb.extra lean ground beef (93% lean or leaner can use ground turkey)
1 clove of garlic, chopped
1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
Juice of four limes
2 tsp Sriacha chili sauce
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
1 carrot, peeled and minced
1 bunch green onions, chopped
salt to taste
1 head Boston lettuce
Brown the meat with the garlic and ginger. Then add limes, chilli sauce and other above ingredients (except lettuce)
When cooked thoroughly put filling ingredients in 1 leaf of fresh lettuce
Then Garnish with :
1 red pepper, minced
1/2 cucumber, deseeded and julienned
(As seen on the Biggest Loser however they suggest using turkey but, since I prefer the ground beef over turkey I try to find very lean ground beef and Target carries meat with no antibiotics or hormones etc. it has a pic of a lady on it I think its called Amy's its a bit pricey but if you go a week or so before it expires target has coupons on it for 2-3$ off at register.)
